Summer has been insane, but its finally coming to a close. School has started up, and now we’re on a new schedule just slightly less crazy. And believe it or not, school is going really well for Michael. He actually WANTS to go to school in the morning. We’ve been working on sight word flash cards at night before I read to him, and he’s gotten so much better at sounding things out. His confidence is growing. I am so happy for him. He actually enjoys being at school now. What a relief.

Ok, NKOTB is back. You remember them, right? My girlfriends were completely goofy over them. I, of course, had my favorites, but I wasn’t as goofy about them. Oh, yeah, I can still sing their songs, don’t get me wrong. On Friday, the NKOTB were on the Today show, and I missed them.

This was from a few weekends ago. Steve and I went to the Bahamas for him to go diving with sharks. He’s an adventurer. I played logic puzzles and video games while enjoying the view and sun. Enjoy the video!

33, or 24 again!

My mom and I have a big joke that once you turn 24, you’re always 24. Nothing about how you feel really changes. Of course, your life changes, and so do you, but that whole feeling older doesn’t really exist in a physical way. Mentally, the changes are astounding, especially if/once you have children. Time changes, life seems to go faster for some reason. Priorities change, but you still feel the same. Kinda.
I have found some things that make me feel older, and I find them pretty funny, so I’m going to share them with you. Feel free to hollah out a “Hell, yeah!” if any are recognizable.
1. The very thought of jumping off of a moving swing makes my feet and legs hurt.
2. When I do cartwheels - yes, I still do cartwheels - my head swims for a bit after I land.
3. I get excited when I can take a nap.
4. I’m tired at 10 o’clock at night, even when the kids have been gone all day.
Yep, I’m 33, not exactly 24, but
I’ll keep pretending.
